On our first excursion we went to the multicultural and millinery city of Toledo (slightly different to Toledo, OH).

Just before heading to Toledo, we excited and thinking about the long but day ahead of us.

A beautiful city

Just entering town

One of our first stops was at the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes, a Saint Franciscan monastery built by catholic king and queen Fernando and Isabel. Beautiful gardens inside a superbly built and adorned structure.

 Just outside the Alcazar, an old military castle where kings, generals defended the city and still today it host service men and women and has military history museum attached to it.
